Provide for the design, supply and installation of a hybrid FACTS ( Flexible AC Transmission System).

Work to incorporate a combination of capacitors, reactors and static compensation equipment, enabling the Vestas supplied turbines to provide additional reactive power capability for the basis of compliance with the understood requirements of the GB Grid Code, as currently required by NGT.

The hybrid equipment is now in operation and currently controlling voltage.

The project was completed within the ION requirements. With Grid Code Compliance testing imminent, Econnect looks forward to the Dummuies Hybrid FACTS device being the first one in the UK to be accepted onto the network.
