Graduate Engineer Nominated for Award

Econnect Australia’s youngest graduate Electrical Engineer, Elizabeth Maina, has been nominated for the 2007 Young Engineer of the Year.

This prestigious award presented by Engineering Australia, rewards young engineering professionals that have reached a high level of achievement and involvement in engineering and community affairs.

Elizabeth has already presented two industry papers including the 2006 Electrical Energy Society of Australia (EESA) and 2007 BCSE Sustainable Energy Conference. Combined with her early career success and passion for renewables she is a prime contender for the award.

Shortly, Elizabeth will commence a secondment in the UK Hexham Office where she will be trained in the application of new grid connection software. After her training is complete she will lead the project launch in Australia at the Auswind conference in October.
