European Presentation Caps Events Trio

A request to present at Europe’s TradeWind Seminar has completed a trio of top class invitations for Econnect’s consultants in as many months.

TradeWind is an EU funded project established to facilitate the large-scale integration of wind energy in Europe.  The seminar in Glasgow on 8th October will consider the establishment of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as the first synchronous trading zone.

Econnect Consulting's Head of Commercial and Regulation, Patrick Smart has been invited to discuss how wind farm developers can gain access to the GB and Irish grids and how the two sets of arrangements can change to support an effective single market.

Last month Rory Mullan addressed the Irish Wind Energy Association’s Autumn conference, providing delegates with an insight into the issues surrounding constraint and curtailment in a burgeoning Irish electricity system.

Econnect Consulting’s Managing Director, James Hunt, meanwhile, will present at the inaugural Tidal Energy symposium in London in November. James is one of a number of the industry’s key figures to appear at the event and will examine the challenges arising between tidal device designs and grid integration.
