Key Achievements:

Craig wind farm demonstrates our work with independent developers, guiding them through to the successful completion and energisation of their projects.

Econnect’s involvement with Craig dates back a number of years when Econnect undertook a pre-feasibility study in 2003/2004, leading to a connection application, an investigation of grid connection issues and the successful negotiation of a satisfactory connection offer.

Due to Econnect’s direct intervention, the final connection offer was reduced to £1.4 million from £7million.  The project would not have proceeded without Econnect’s help.

After successfully passing thorough the due diligence investigations by the funding bank, Econnect Construction finished the process with the full balance of plant works.  In addition Econnect Construction assisted the wind farm in achieving Grid Code compliance by supplying and installing reactive compensation and voltage control equipment.
