Design Work & Project Management of the electrical infrastructure works involving:

  • LV/MV WTG Transformers

  • On Site Substation /Control Building Electrical Systems

  • 33kV turbine switchgear
  • Scada Cable Installation & Termination
  • Standard 20kVA, 3 phase, 400Vac standby diesel generator system
  • Testing & Commissioning of the Econnect supplied equipment
  • Hybrid Static Compensation Equipment
Key Achievements:  

Earlsburn was the first wind farm site in the UK to install a Hybrid Statcom solution to allow Grid Code Compliance.

This equipment allowed a previously unviable project to go ahead as the turbines themselves were unable to operate between the voltage guidelines required in the Grid Code.

The static compensation equipment allows voltage control of the wind farm and this meets the Grid Code requirements.
