Technological development is the very basis on which Econnect was founded and to this day the business is continually examining new ways to reduce CO2 emissions by improving the penetration, cost effectiveness and utilisation of renewables in power systems.
Econnect works closely with leading universities and international network operators to develop knowledge, tools and techniques, to provide the technology for tomorrow. We offer grid integration products, software and services, facilitating increased penetration of renewable energy into distribution networks and mini-grids.

Econnect’s current portfolio includes:
Active Network Management
GenAVC allows more generation to be connected to existing networks without costly reinforcements, whilst effectively managing voltage, thermal or fault level/short circuit current constraints.

Demand Side Management
Distributed intelligent load controllers (DILCs) are Econnect’s demand side management products
which improve the emissions of fossil fuelled diesel generators and reduce the risks and incidence of
black-outs.
